FRÜHLING FEST

The Brewery District neighborhood is launching Frühling Fest, Saturday, May 25th, to kick-off Milwaukee’s festival season with a free spring street festival, featuring three stages of music along with special spring craft and draft beer tappings by Pabst Milwaukee Brewery and Taproom and Milwaukee Brewing Co., the Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery Beer Garden at Preservation Park, visual artists, local maker vendors, Brewery District restaurants, and more.

At 1 p.m., the neighborhood will prost its beer brewing history by tapping special seasonally brewed beer for Frühling Fest. Pabst Milwaukee Brewery and Taproom will premiere Dodranbicentennial Sour, a Berliner Weisse Fruited Sour brewed with strawberries and rhubarb in honor of Pabst’s 175th anniversary. In addition to the Dodranbicentennial Sour, Pabst will also premiere Name Day, a light brown ale with Chocolate Malt and hopped beer brewed with German Hull Melon Hops and Ghana Cacao Nibs. Milwaukee Brewing Company will feature a spring Maibock for the festival and will be made available for draft called “Maibock, Not Yours.”

Frühling Fest will feature an assortment of entertainment including three stages of Milwaukee music, and musicians at Best Place Beer Garden from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Best Place Beer Garden

The Best Place Beer Garden located in Preservation Park on Juneau Avenue between 9th and 10th streets will feature great food and beer, entertainment and music between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Patrick Nettesheim with Kharma Shotgun will be raising awareness for Guitars for Vets, a nonprofit organization that enhances the lives of ailing and injured military Veterans by providing them with free guitars and music instruction.

Artist Alley & Milwaukee Makers

Artist Alley behind Best Place Beer Garden will activate an innovative and exploratory creative space and experience showcasing Milwaukee artists Bigshot Robot, Jax Berndt, Danny Duffleupagus, Taylor Fiester, Hot Giardiniera, and Armahn Gonz. No Studios will be hosting live art by Jax Joyce.

Throughout the festival’s streets Milwaukee makers and artists including James Steeno Gallery, Kaminski Handicraft, the Earth and All Stars, Local Change by Jenny Kyle Smith, Cream City Canning, Milwaukee Beer Gear and Redwall Screen Printing will showcase their work.

Afterparty

After Frühling Fest the party moves indoors at Pabst Milwaukee Brewery and Taproom, Glass + Griddle, No Studios and Jackson’s Blue Ribbon Pub.

Pabst Milwaukee Brewery and Taproom will feature free entertainment in the Taproom starting at 8:30 p.m. with THE TRUCK, Alcoholic Unanimous, and a DJ

Cheer on the Milwaukee Bucks at Glass + Griddle

No Studios will host a rooftop afterparty with a DJ beginning at 7 p.m., the Bucks Game 6 broadcasting in their Theater at 7:30 p.m., and Cullah & The Comrades will begin their set at 8 p.m.

Jackson’s Blue Ribbon Pub will present Spare Change Trio on their patio from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
